What is so special about the Mac Pro Computer?

What makes the mac pro any different then any other computer? I dont know too much about Mac and their computers.
What type of person would need such a computer? Someone who plays a lot of computer games or someone who just needs a lot of computer space to store documents? I dont understand why someone would need so much space to store information. Why not just get a regular computer?
