Whats the difference between gel full set and pink and white full set?
UV gel nails are not acrylic. They are made from the same family of chemicals but they are different in several ways. Acrylic nails are made using a liquid - the monomer, and a powder - the polymer. They are known as a liquid and powder system. Gel nails are made from UV gels. Here is a pic of what UV nail gels look like. Notice how they are most certainly not a powder:

That video the other person posted for you is clearly marked 'acrylic' nails. That is not gel he is applying. Gels do come in many different colors, and so do acrylics. But, they are not the same thing. Ever.
For a look at one way UV gel is applied, take a look at this video. These are not acrylic nails...
The person doing the nails is Greg Salo from Young Nails. He is one of two owners of this professional nail product company. He is doing a set of French Nails, itherwise known as a pink & white set. P&W's can be made out of acrylic, or UV gel's.
Note is this video how each layer of gel is cured under a UV lamp. If you have gel nails done, this is how they should be cured. If they are not cured in this way, you are not getting UV gel nails.
