Question about getting my nails done! 10 points!?
I would like to get my nails done professionally, but I dont want anything that will ruin my nails. I've heard that when you get acrylics, they grind down your natural nail. I DONT WANT THAT! *shrieks*
Is there another alternative? I want a french manicure, but not very long at all - shorter than the usual photos of them.
Are there any links to photos so I can see how acrylics work? I want to see what they do to your natural nail before they apply the acrylics.
What are gel tips? How lnog do they last? Are they high maintenence? Do they ruin your natural nail? How lnog will it take to grow them out [my nails grow at an average/slow rate].

p.s. I've heard theyre painful when they fall off or break...true or false? What happens when they break?

I would not suggest acrylic nails i hate them and yes they do file your nail down and when you take them off your nails are like paper and just bend.
Gel nails are a lot better and much more gentle on your nails and still allows them to breathe.
But if you dont want either you can get Dr Lewins revita nail which you can apply everyday and it makes your nails grow really fast and makes them strong.
